Magic skin treatments - do share!! When you say medical management, do you mean a Dr's prescription? Stay well the the new gorgeous SusanHG123!!!

Hi Maddie,
The skin care line has 2 lines-one that can just be sold and 1 that requires the salon selling to have the person selling go to major training and have a health care provider on the letter head and available for consultation. My hairdresser and friend is married to a physician so she uses him.
The line is Zo Skin Health by Zein Obagi, Inc. Penny-my friend has used it over 30 years and lived in Florida until 10 years ago. Her skin looks like she is 25. Wears no facial make-up except a bit of powder if she is going out. She is also trim, beautiful, and has amazing eyes and hair. So far-my skin looks good but I am not trim and beautiful!
I bought from the regular line Growth Factor Serum Plus, Offects Exfoliating Polish, Oclipse Sun Block, Face cleanser, nad Ossential Daily Power Primer. From the medical side Zo Medical I got C Bright and Brightenex. I had a good night cream and eye cream already. The C Bright and Brightenex-you have to start slow and work up to using each daily. Skin peels a bit and has a bit of reddness at the beginning. There is a "tingle" well actually a bit of a burn as you adjust. I looked at it a few months ago and held off. Then realized I spent this over a period of time-just not at once. My check was just at $500. I won't run out of everything at the same time though. My skin really looks good. I have had a couple days of reddness and some slight itching but i skip one of the medical products for a day and it goes away. I am careful in the sun so I don't have any sun damage on my face. I always wanted to have a tan-but with skin so pale you can almost see through it all I ever did was burn, blister, get really really sick, and peel. I didn't try much. It is more of a process then I have ever done. Morning is: Cleanse, use the exfoliating polish 2-3 times a week, tone, eye cream, C Bright, Brightenex, power defense, sun screen. Night is Cleanse, tone, eye cream, growth serum, night cream, lip cream. Before I was a wash and go with some face lotion. I have to refer to my list of what to do in what order. Slow learner and chemo brain. I think the regular line is available from amazon but you have to find a place that sells the other. No breasts-but nice skin here!
Much love

Hi Ladies - am sending this on behalf of SusanHG123. As we entering our 4th year Susan's very clever and creative daughter designed this T shirt. Isn't it gorgeous!!!
-
Maddie,
Thank you so much for posting the picture. The mom of the family was not able to figure out how to get the picture from my phone to the boards. Malia-my oldest created and had T-shirts printed. All as a surprise. When we hit that magical 5th year--we need to be together to celebrate!
Love to each
-
Hi Susan- still can't believe how clever Malia is. Does she work in a creative industry? I do hope some of the other ladies from our thread check in from time to time so they see it
-
How cute is that?! Especially with the new movie coming out soon.
My husband and I were just talking about chemo the other night and he said he can't even remember what I looked like without hair. Best. Compliment. Ever!
Prayers that everyone continues to do well and looking forward to the magical #5.

Popping in to say hello! Nice to read through posts and hear how everyone (who is still posting here!) is doing. Yup, I remember thinking that within a year, all would be normal again... I see I'm not the only one who thought that. Ha~ Aren't the anti-hormone drugs crazy? Having said that, I think I'm settled in to exemestane, finally. Joint pain, yes. But not so bad. Just went through a biopsy for a swollen lymph node, and results were good. I am impressed that my docs are still thorough, but oh, that waiting game is hard, isn't it?
PaEagles, my stepsister has been recently diagnosed with breast cancer - and as her resource, I am so surprised how much I have forgotten - including what it was like to not have hair!!!Many blessings and good wishes to all, as always.
-
Hi Ladies don't think too much about the bald head, but do remember that hot incredibly itchy wig!!! So nice to hear you are well FeelingtheMagic. I am so glad your lymph node biopsy was okay. That must have scared you ! The waiting is terrible- the worst bit. I am so sorry to hear about your stepsister, but I am sure you will be an excellent mentor. Big hugs and best wishes to your stepsister

Hi Ladies,
I miss our group and our activity on the thread. Hopefylly, the lack of activity means health and wellness.
Yesterday I had the first of the chemo induced cataracts removed. Or rather, steroids as part of chemo, cataracts removed. The procedure was easy peasy. I had a dab of anesthesia but was awake during the procedure--all less than 10-minutes of it. Wore a strange patch 24-hours and will wear a different strange patch the next three nights. But--man can I see better! There is a bit of double vision at first but life is brighter-in one eye for sure. I put it off-cancelled the first procedure-was not wanting any more medical. Now will schedule the second.
Have had more iron infusions hoping to stop the anemia.
A year from this summer we hit the magic five year mark. I vote for saving our money for a trip to someplace as celebration.
Much love

Had the mammogram last week. Good results, and I don't have to return again if I choose not to! Smiles all around!

Hi natL12 - fabulous news!!! Had mine last week and just got the results - all clear and I also don't have to go annually now- thrilled!!! Does anyone know how roadwarrior is? I happened to see last week she had some awful news a while ago- mets in the liver, and hasn't posted since. Have been so worried. Roadwarrior if you are reading this please let us know how you are getting along- enormous hugs!!!

Looks like everyone is long gone from this thread. That's probably a good thing. I'm feeling a little nervous because I have an appointment I've put off making for a couple months. First, I haven't been to doctor in 2 years, just tired of them. I've had this ache in my left abdomen for about 5 months. It's not super bad, just a nagging thing and only a couple of times has made me sit down until the pain went away. I'm finally going to have it checked out. I'm sure it's fine and I put off going to the doctor for no reason, but I really don't want to start the whole testing thing again. I've really just been enjoying life. My kids are living the 20's and it's been fun watching them find their paths. I really don't want to upset the paths of anyone. I don't even want to let my husband know yet because I don't want him to worry. Everything is just going so well right now, I wish I didn't have to check anything. Best to all of you out there living your lives.

Mamabr-please post your results. It does seem we have all faded away. I hope it is for happy times and good news. Please let us know your results.
