I was wondering if anyone else has experienced anything like this......I had a single masectomy followed by 5 months chemo, 33 rads, hysterectomy/ooph and now on aromosin.  All this began in Aug 2011. I finished up the radiation at the end of April, then had the hysterectomy/ooph surgery.

It has been 2 weeks since I went for my follow up from the surgery with my gyn at which time he did a breast exam (I saw my oncologist the wk before and she said since I was seeing him the next week she would not do a breast exam).  When he did he felt something suspicious and had his office call and move my appointment up from Aug with my breast surgeon.  He is out of town and I can't get in until July 2.  They said if there is any possible they will see me sooner.

I wanted him to remove that side also but he refuses and told me if there is anything there they will catch quickly. I have 3 markers to watch where they took a biopsy when they discovered the cancer in the side they removed.

Here are some things I am wondering and would greatly appreciate your thoughts on:

Can you have the same cancer come in the opposite breast so soon after chemo?  (I do have pain in that breast which was my only symptom with the other but I've been having lots of aches adjusting to armosin)

Should I call and ask if they could go ahead and schedule an mri before I see him?

Anyone know of a similar experience?

Thanks so much.
