For some reason I thought this was an oral drug but the article said it was iv infusion. It is given along with the chemo drugs but will they still give it with the Herceptin after the hard chemo is over?

It says nothing about using it for those who are early stage cancer patients. It too has similiar side effects of Herceptin and is only given complementray with Herceptin. It seems that together you would have twice the side effects. And at this ime you would have to take chemo as well. It is a new drug so it will take time how it all comes out in the wash.

The article said this is used for metastatic BC so you have to be Stage IV to receive it. Like Herceptin, in time it will probably be cleared for lower stages.
