I should say the severe pain is back, I always have pain.I just got my lidocaine IV infusion for post mastectomy pain syndrome. I went on a short vacation for a few days and did a lot of casting while fishing (I rested some too and just relaxed in the boat). I had to start taking my Tramadol three times a day again. It had settled down, but it was blasting hot today and I over did doing laundry and hanging it out on the line (son moved back home and EVERYTHING he brought was dirty so I had extra). i thought i could handle it all but I guess I cant. I am still learning how much I can do.

I had a camisole on today and got sunburned (forgot to put on sunscreen). I had Brian put some  Aloe Vera lotion on my upper back, upper chest area, upper arms front and back. I started crying. I couldn't get  my shirt off by myself and when he rubbed the stuff (even as gently as he could) it hurt so bad. Not just from the sunburn but from the pmps. anything touching me in those spots feels like burns or sandpaper.

I also have a fever of 100.7. It appears that the temperature aches exaserbates the pmps (its my first time with  fever with it).I took a vicodin tonight and it seems to be taking the edge off things but I am still a hurtin unit.

So i am laying in bed with the laptop, talking to whoever is on here cuz I know you all will understand. I "only" had DCIS, so I feel more of a PMPS survivor than cancer.

I had burnign feelings on my lower arms as well, but there was no sunburn there. I know the one lower armed swelled and burned once after I had a blood pressure taken there, but have not had any problems since I started making them take it on the leg.

Since I have had PMPS since I awoke from surgery 1/11/11, I get used to it, but man, I am really down physically, emotionally, and exhausted.

Pain really f'in sucks ass.
