tailbone pain and worrying....

my mum is having tailbone pain the last 1.5 year daily but not very insistently and she worries.

last year her doctor examine her and told her that is probaly coccyx and tha she will not worry. she prescribed her pills and she felt better.

last year she had a PET CT as a yearly follow up and didn't show anything. the thing is the pain was not so persistent as now and doctor is thinking whether to order a bone scan or an mri.....

her doctor tries to avoid radiation so he's thinking what to order.he feels definetely that is coccyx and nothing else to worry about.

did anyone of you had or having a similar situation?
