Hi all of your readers! Isn't it a great ride, to get a book you just cannot put down?  This past winter i read mostly, James Patterson...I think beachouse was my fav, and the quickie! Woohoo.

Now I like autobiographies  lately, i've read "a boy called it"  by Dave Pelzer, "the glass castle" gave it to a friend, forget the author, "drinking...a love story" by Caroline Knapp, and to lighten things up...I don't like my neck" by nora ephron. Fifty Shades will be in my hands, after about 5 other women go thru it! Ugghh! I've got a lot of expenses, so therefore, I shall wait!

I read alot of your post's....I just plain out like to read!

    best to you all!

Nothing to be ashamed about - as long as you saw those films after you finished the trilogy. Otherwise your imagination would have been compromised :-)

Lol, I haven't seen them so for all I know, they took some liberties with the plot - maybe you'll stillhave some surprises in store. I looooved how the bad guys all got theirs.

Indigo-so glad I found this thread you started. My DS brought home the 2nd book of the Hunger Games series yesterday and I've read 200 pages of it so far.  After we fought over who gets to read it first. LOL Someday I will read all the books I have on my Nook, but for now I just keep reading my "real" books I find.

I hope you like it!!  Gets darker and darker though, huh?   I did really enjoy all of the books - haven't seen the movie yet.  At this rate I'll probably end up watching it on video or cable.

Does anyone else have favorite books that they re-read over and over, from time to time?  I might be weird for doing that - but I have for as long as I can remember reading.  I think the series that I've probably read the most is The Lord of the Rings books.  I read them all for the first time when I was on Christmas break as a senior in high school, and over the years have re-read them many times since.

Indigo- I didn't want to put it down, but my eyes said otherwise. We never go to the theater so will watch it when it comes out on dvd. But I wanted to make sure to read it first. Books are always better. I never could read The Lord of the Rings books but I did watch all the movies.

I read those too but have yet to see the movie. Oldest DD went I opening night with friends. It is her current obsession. Thankfully replacing her Twilight obsession. At least the main character in Hunger Games is a strong female.

I have moved on from polygamy and am now on a true crime kick. :)

I finished the 3rd book yesterday, now ready to see the movie when it comes out on dvd.

Indigo I really like John Grisham to, I've caught myself reading one I forgot that I've read.

Now to find a new book to read, decisions, decisions.

I think I have read all the Grishams - my favorite is The Pelican Brief...I recently read what I think is his latest The Litagators - it wasn't as great as some of his others though.

Ok, I have finished another true crime by Ann Rule - trying to decide what to read next.

I still haven't picked out a new book. I think I've read one of Ann Rules books and really liked it. Might have to look for another.

I usually know how all the Ann Rule books end because I have usually seen them on 48 Hrs or Dateline, lol.  But still interesting in reading about the cases.

I finally got some new books - downloaded The Confession and The Associate by John Grisham.  Started The Confession last night; so far it has been good.

I'm finishing the 3rd Fifty Shades book within the week.  And I was thinking of going to a Grisham book too . . . we're on the same page, so to speak!

I thought I had read all the Grishams but I don't think I have read The Confession.

I continued my true crime streak last week after seeing an episode of Final Witness on TV and read "Shake the Devil Off" - google it - very disturbing and haunting.  I can't even type out the details.  Not for the faint of heart.  Then I got on a NOLA streak and read a couple short books that were about Katrina.

Ok, I just downloaded (and paid for, which pains me) something called "Gone Girl" - I have seen a lot people talking about it being good.  Just started so I can't attest to it yet.

I really enjoy True Crime and almost anything Ann Rule is good. Small Sacrifices was one of the best books I ever read - the true story of a mother who shoots her own kids because her boyfriend didnt want to be a daddy..... It was a good character study. Also in true crime - Norman Mailer's The Executioner's Song which won the Pulitzer Prize. Also Truman Capote's In Cold Blood, an oldie but a great book....

I'm currently reading Nora Roberts "In the Garden" trilogy. On the second book Black Rose.

In case anyone doesn't know. If you have a Nook or the Nook app for pc; you can go to Barnes and Nobles's website and type 0.00 Nookbooks and find a lot of free books.  I'm not sure how good they all are but for free might be worth downloading.

Yep and some are just available on nook or kindle but you can get the app for either for your phone, etc...the only thing I don't like about my Kindle is ever so occasionally I do like to read at night and there is no light, so it's nice to have things on my phone too.

I read Small Sacrifices too - that one was very good.  I just finished Rule's Green River Running Red but there were SOOOO many names/backstories that it was kind of hard to get through.

"Gone Girl" is the first novel I have read in a while, I was kind of getting burned out on the whole true crime thing.

Holy cow, I went bonkers with books today! Checked good old-fashioned hardbacks of The Help, The Constant Princess by Philippa Gregory (author of The Other Boleyn Girl), and The Associate and The Broker by John Grisham. I really wanted The King of Torts but it wasn't on the shelf and I was in the mood for instant gratification (free). So I'm reading these first since they are due in 3 weeks. I'm up to the challenge, lol!

I love the feeling of having plenty of books to read!

I finished "Gone Girl" - it was good I guess but didn't have a satisfying ending.

Ok, I just did something I haven't done before - returned a kindle download through Amazon.com - thought Keith Richard's autobiography might be interesting to read.  I can't get into it at all.  So I went and requested a refund and they did it.
