I don't like the suburbs

But that is how the new format feels. Lots of space and setbacks....

I miss the clutter and intimacy of the big city. The format is pretty - it just lacks that umph.....don't know hoe else to describe it. It feels more like a day planner or an address book than a cyber-salon.

Makes me almost miss the usenet days.

As I said, I don't like suburbs. Sigh.

Personally, I like suburbs - lovely manicured lawns, pretty and diverse houses, nice cars, wonderful restaurants, lots of shopping with plenty of parking, award winning schools, great quality of life. :)

On the other hand, I find cities to be noisy, over-crowded, gritty, dirty and not people friendly.

I guess it's a matter of personal preference.

    LOL

I agree, Athena! And my neighbors hardly ever stop by anymore...Innocent It gets lonely in the suburbs!

It's definitely more of a trek between homes and the house numbers aren't as easy to spot.

I know I am not knocking on as many doors, or dropping by for coffee with anybody except for my old friends. I know guests shouldn't complain, but I will join you in that sigh!

I'm put off by the setbacks and the endless traffic lights. Too far to walk, too much traffic to drive! You don't really know where anyone is anymore. There's no panoramic, skyline view.

It is so much work getting from one house to the other, that I am not able to socialize much anymore - too much time taken getting from one place to the other.  This reduces how much information I can gather regarding my diagnosis.

I find the Welcome Wagon is having a hard time figuring out which houses the newcomers moved into, also. :(
