Fibrocyctic breasts and now a rash??

I'm new at this and a bit panicked so please bare with me. I'm 24 and have been dealing with benign cysts in my breast tissue since I was 12. They come and go depending on my diet, where I am in my cycle, and sometimes show up if I'm overlly emotional/stressed. Every time I've spoken to my doctor I'm reassured that they're no different than they've always been so I'm fine and just to keep an eye on them. Over the last few months things have begun to change. My breasts get sore like normal right before my mentstral cycle, but it doesn't taper off anymore. They will continue to be painful and sensitive even more than usual and it lasts almost a full 2 weeks after my cycle ends. I also have a few spots that are especially sensitive and almost hard to the touch during this time.
The rash I'm getting just started catching my attention a couple of weeks ago. I was playing with my daughter and we'd been running around so I was sweating. We all know sweat + bra = itching skin so without thinking I just scratched at my chest a little bit and moved on. Well that little bit made it itch even more and hurt. I went to look at it in the bathroom and I see what you'd normally chalk up to hicky-like bruises. The capularies under my skin look like they've been broken but only in the area I scratched my skin. Sitting here I could run my fingernail over a patch of skin on my chest and almost gurantee you that this will show up and then spread to the small area around the site. I haven't changed detergent, bought a new bra/clothes, changed my diet, or anything else new so I know there's something else I'm missing.
All of this has me on edge so I have an appointment for next tuesday to hopefully get some answers, but I don't know what questions I need to ask or even how to handle any of this. I'm a single mom with a 2yr old and my mother is on the other side of the country....any and all input from you ladies would be VERY much appreciated! Thanks for listening.

Laineysmom, I have no experience with or knowledge of what you have described, but I just wanted to write and encourage you. I think you've done the exact right thing: when in doubt go see a doctor! The hardest part will be waiting and wondering. And of course there's a BIG chance that it's nothing to be concerned about. Try to keep busy and distract yourself with things love. Big HUGS to you. I'm sure someone will be along soon who have some experience with what you're experiencing.

Thanks for the encouraging words Esmerelda! I'm trying to focus on my daughter, work, and life as it is now without letting the worry get the best of me. It's just the not knowing that is killing me right now. When I know those answers I'm sure I'll br able to breathe a little easier and make a better plan of action. Who ever coined the phrase "No news is good news" was a sadist....just saying!
