A little wry amusement...

... so, despite the fact that it's been a really rainy- and foggy day where I am, I decided that I just needed to get out in it.  So, I headed to a local nursery to pick out plants: delphiniums, lupins, and some annuals for my large, iron planters.  I didn't mind getting rained on; in fact, I kind of enjoyed it.  I felt alive.

Afterwards, I headed to a florist to buy some cut flowers for the house.  I find that it is an indulgence that I have been enjoying since I first started receiving "get well soon" bouquets after my surgery.  Today, I decided, was a cream day: cream roses, cream freeshias, and cream hydrangeas.  As I picked up my purchase and turned away from the counter, I heard one of the cashiers say to the other, "... I really, really like her super-short haircut, it's such a nice look..."

As I walked away, I thought to myself, " ... Lady?  You have no idea ..."  But it made me smile all the way to the car ...

Yes, you take compliments wherever you get them... just thinking to yourself "You wouldn't believe how much I paid the oncologist to get this look!"

Selena, that is to funny! Sounds like you made the best of a dreary day. Do you have a picture posted of your hair? Seems like your rockin the style and to just turn and smile is awesome. You made the most if a couple of situations.
