Need a new oncologist--Padukah, Cape Girardeau, Southern IL

Hello,

 I live in Marion, IL.  I moved here last June after getting married (2nd marriage after being divorced since 1985!)  I am very, very unhappy with my oncologist.  His office could not seem to understand the concept of changing one's name after getting married and they were unable to get my medical records.  I ended up writing letters and contacting my former doctors who repeatedly sent records.  It finally got solved (I think!)

I had a CT scan on Feb 2.  I called to check on results before they had been sent and then just forgot about it.  Fast forward to April 30 when I had my checkup with Dr. Cuartas.  He didn't have the results in my file from the CT scan.  He left the exam room and went and located them.  It turned out I have a lesion on my thyroid.  (Thyroid cancer is common in my family).  I had a scan yesterday and it is still there.  Three months of not checking something out because they don't bother to look at test results.

I cannot take this anymore.  His staff is frankly, incompetent.  I need a new oncologist. 

I don't want to go to St. Louis as it is two hours away.  I was thinking about Padacah, KY or Cape Girardeau, MO as they are closer.  Would anyone reading this have a recommendation or experience in these two cities or somewhere else in S. Illinois? I've heard the Carbondale oncologist isn't much better than the one I'm going to now.
