DCIS Intermediate grade with Comedo Necrosis

Hello everyone.  I don't see my doctor until May 25th and have some questions about my report.  My spot is only 3mm with Comedo Necrosis but is only Intermediate Grade.  What is the bigger concern normally...is it the Grade or the Comedo?  Does the Intermediate grade outweigh the issue of the Comedo?  I'm also ER PR-

My diagnosis was very similar to yours. To be honest, at first I felt that I had dodged a bullet because my cancer was non-invasive stage 0, but my subsequent experiences have been very humbling. I have been learning that it's necessary to look at each factor independently and how it impacts risk, which steers your treatment. For example, since my receptors are positive, my oncologist was very firm about starting tamoxifen, the part of treatment I've been most dreading (but so far, so good). I think we ARE lucky with our diagnoses that treatment seems geared toward minimizing risk of recurrence rather than having to control something already there.

I also found that each doc involved in my treatment looks at the pathology report differently, focusing on different aspects.  My surgeon declared me "cured!," my oncologist is skeptical about mysterious areas from the MRI and my radiologist sits somewhere between those two views. I was not prepared for that wild divergence.
