COMPASSIONATE USE???

I apologize in advance but seriously....RELEASE THE DAMN CURE!!  Why should ANYONE be granted compassionate use?  Why shouldn't EVERYONE be granted compassionate use???  My mother doesn't get to see her own granddaughter turn 30 in a couple of weeks.  What's wrong with this picture.  Out of respect for the moderators of this fantastic forum, I shall refrain from sinking into the four letter expletives that are bouncing off the walls of my house right now....

Hell of a good question and I completely understand.  I am very sorry for your loss, but with all due respect, there are plenty of us on here who won't get to see our own children grow up, let alone live long enough to see grandchildren, especially thirty-year old grandchildren. She was very lucky and that's something to be grateful for.

I know, Gracie - that's exactly my point.  It angers me that just because someone did a youtube video THEY get the new miracle drug and the rest of you don't.  I grieve for EVERYONE with this vicious disease.  Not just my Mum.  I just think it's so wrong that if there is a hopeful treatment out there that just a few select people will get the chance to try it.

I agree completely. Very sad commentary on the world we live in. To have to put yourself out there on youtube is so desperate, but in the same sense, it almost seems like you have to do it to get some action. It's so heartbreaking. Sadly, I think things re: end stage cancer treatment are going to get much worse instead of better. EVERYTHING seems to based on early detection. Hopefully someone, somewhere will realize how unbelievably wrong that is.
