Just curious....

I don't post much. I am curious as to who uses their Oncologist as their pimary. I do. I sometimes wonder though, if I should go directly to the Gastro, Neuro, Derm, etc. myself for concerns I have. Not for nothing, aren't Oncolgists the 'Cocktail' Doctors. I have been have many new syptoms, back and neck pain, to name one. Had Bronchitis in Feb 2012, took a Z-Pak. Still heaviness in chest and Mucous, ugh. I spoke with my Onc. on the phone earlier today, he started me on Augmentin. No mention of anything else. Thank you in adavnce for your thoughts. A friend of mine keeps telling me, 'maybe the best is yet to come'.  I wait. She truly is an angel.

I still see my family doctor for things non-specific to BC, but having said that, I also ask my oncologist for things if I am there.  Example -- a couple of months ago, I had a yeast infection.  Instead of making an appointment with my gynecologist, since I already had a check-up with my onc, I just asked him to write me an RX for Diflucan.
