Lower lumbar pain...can anyone relate?

Options

Hi ladies...I have had right side lower lumbar pain for some time.  It is not painful all of the time, it comes and goes, but when it is painful it is a pain that almost makes me nauseous.  I have tried to ignore it and chalk it up to being a dental hygienist hunched over all day.  I do go to the chiropractor regularly, she never notes anything out of the ordinary with my lower back.  I hate to worry over nothing, but don't want to dismiss something serious.  Can anyone relate?

margodae If the pain is so severe that it makes you nauseous, you should get it checked out with either an x-ray or CT scan. I developed terrible shoulder, hip and lower back pain that is so severe it wakes me up at night every night (these issues have been developing since 10/2011). I finally had an xray and CT scan of my back and they found that I had 2 bulging discs in my lower back, a benign lesion on my right hip and tendonitis in my shoulder (found on a shoulder MRI).

Before the scans I was really freaked out because I've read that pain at night is a very bad sign re: mets. Now I have an explanation for the issues and I realize that many things can cause pain (I still have no idea why I suddenly have all these issues-I blame it on Tamoxifen). So I can breathe again:) I see that you are Triple Positive like me so I completely understand your concern. You really need to find out what's wrong to put your mind at ease. Chances are it's a benign issue causing the pain-hoping for the best!
