Ok, I did it again !  Lol

Not so funny when it happens at the grocery store....could not remember my PIN.... total blank  

So I get the message : wrong PIN.  Shock, horror.  I tell myself, get a grip, DO NOT PANIC !  I try a second time, wrong PIN again.  By then, I'm sweating profusely and have to turn to the young well manicured cashier, admit that I forgot my PIN and tell her to put everything on hold. But, of course, the cutie can't figure out what I am saying.  People in line are getting nervous and the bag full of groceries is just innocently sitting there, also waiting ....The cashier then yells out (of course) to the manager....by then all I wanted was to be swept under the carpet....the manager finally comes, cancels my purchase and lets the next in line through.  She decides that she is going to supervise this transaction and just stands there like a security guard, now I'm realllly feeling the pressure.  All this time, I'm thinking GOTTA remember, GOTTA remember, otherwise this will turn out to be so much more embarrassing, if that is even possible.  My turn again, I bravely march to the machine which has the gall to warn me that this is my third and last attempt.  I enter what I thought was my PIN and Bingo !  My God, relief washed all over me.  I picked up my bag and tried to march out of there with as much dignity as I could muster, but hours later I still feel like a fool !

So I thought we could give ourselves a little chuckle by sharing embarrassing moments.  What the heck, we share everything else

The other day I went to the doctor and wrote the check for the wrong amount so I wrote out another check.  Turns out I wrote that one wrong too.  My amouts didn't match so I had to go back & try again. I just corrected the legal line & initialed it.  Told then if that didn't work I'm come back and writed another check. Uhggg!

DH got us both sansa clip zip MP3 players at Costco today, since we're going to be such gym rats in the future.....

I open up the package without severing an artery, and shake everything out.

I decide to start charging the device. Mind you, it's about 1/3 the size of a credit card - only 1.25 inches wide and 2.25 inches high. I hook it up to the USB cord provided, and stick it into a USB port on my computer. Nothing happens.

GRRRRRR....

I find the SanDisk Tech Support page, and get on "Live Chat" with a tech.  Here is how our "Live Chat"  went:

ME: I currently have the MP3 player connected by USB cord into the computer to charge - is this right?

TECH: Yes.

TECH: Do you see the battery indicator moving horizontally?

ME: The only thing that shows in the screen is the "music" icon......are you saying that when the battery is charging the "connected" icon will appear?

TECH: When the Sansa player is connected to the computer for charging, it will display a connected message. This means that the player is charging.

ME: Sorry .No "connected" message. I do see a battery icon on the screen, in the upper right corner, but nothing is moving....

TECH: Is the player connected to the computer using the original USB cable?

ME: yes

TECH: What do you see on the screen of the player?

ME: I see the "music" icon that was on there when it was in the original package

TECH: Disconnect the Sansa player from the computer and tell me what do you see on the screen of the player.

ME: I see the same icon on the player - the default picture that was there when it was still in the package

TECH: It seems that there is a sticker on the screen of the player. Please try to remove that and tell me what do you see on the screen of the player.

ME: OMG U R a GENIUS!!!

TECH: Thank you.

OOH Ladies...This a funny thread ...I was LOL. 

Maud...That's why I use the same pin number on anything that requires one. So no confusion.

Hello ladies ! we all need a chuckle now and then - a nurse even told me to rent comedy videos - more importantly, to be able to laugh at oneself when having to deal with all the SEs of treatment goes a long way

I'm with you Mrsjnband, I find myself revising everything on that check at least three times now and despite all my triple checking on everything, I've made a few 'budget' blunders 

Blessings, I can relate to the 'open up the package without severing an artery'.  It takes me hours to open up those darn packages, what are they thinking ?  I need to get myself a tool box  LOL

Oh, and those technicians....so funny....had the same experience recently with a new video machine I bought.  I said to myself 'I can do this' repeatedly.  I gave that box dirty looks for almost a whole week before I even opened it  !!

I ordered a new cordless computer mouse that's being  delivered today.Already can see problems getting into the packaging. Connecting it is easy once I get it out of that package.

oooooooouuuuu Cheryl, good luck with that ! when I got the computer, the technician had to program the cordless mouse !  Let us know how it goes !!

Did I tell you ladies....that I got caught in an MRI changing room with my pants down literally.....I came back out, arguing with the tech that i absolutely needed to keep my pants on for personal reasons...she was adamant that I had to take them off because of the metal parts, etc.

blah blah, I was telling myself going back into the changing room not wanting to come out....

Turns out I had NOT shaved my legs  and had to wear that stupid hospital gown with my ankle socks on in the waiting room, in the presence of men  

Luckily, it was a woman tech, and she laughed so hard when I made her promise that under no circumstances was she to look at my legs

Oh how dreadful - I will never never forget THAT embarrassing moment - but just watch me repeat the same stupid move

A few months ago, DH & I attended a very large, fancy cocktail party hosted by a local upscale business.  Hundreds of beautifully dressed people, exquisite catering, the whole nine yards.  A couple of days before that, I'd gotten a great deal on 2 pair of shoes that were identical, except for the color -- one burgundy and one charcoal.  So as we're getting ready to go out, I slip on one of each shoe, intending to look in the mirror and decide which color to wear.  But I must have gotten side tracked, because I don't remember ever doing that.  So after we've been at the party for a good hour and a half, we're standing chatting with some friends, and one of the women looks down and says, "Oh, I like your shoes!"  I look down and I'm wearing one burgundy shoe and one charcoal shoe!  It was absolutely hysterical -- my most public chemo brain moment yet.     Deanna

 For the first time I got a package I could open easily.It had a small perforated area on the back,pulled it apart and that was it. New mouse out of package and connected in under 2 minutes.

Ladies - I can't swear that this works, because I haven't tried it - but I think I saw somewhere (Pinterest?) that a hand-held can opener can open those awful plastic packages.

Ha Ha Ha DLB, did you leave the event pronto or did you stay with your mismatch shoes ?  Don't feel too bad, when my nieces visit they both sport different socks on each foot, it's apparently very stylish nowadays  I should do that next MRI !  Lol

I only have one pin number for my debit card and I frequently can't remember it, so I have it written down....and for all my passwords....they are also written down....I don't have that many, but some have the #'s  first then letters and others are other way around...only 5 or 6 different ones, but can't remember!!! 

I once wore one black and one blue shoe that were the same "model"....I think it bothers us more than others...

I frequently blank of things...but I use my charge card most often and no pin with that, so that helps!!!

I had a right mastectomy (more surgery pending) and don't have a real prothesis yet. I use the poufy boob that came with my compression garment. It works pretty fine- except for when you arrive at someone's home, take your coat off and realize you never put your boob in your bra!

My sister wants me to put a sign on my back door that says 'Got Boob?' !

I too wore 2 different earrings a few weeks ago. Asked why no one told me and they thought it was a fashion statement as I am the one who always has to be coordinated.

The worst was earlier this week when I stood cussing out the microwave for not working. I kept putting in the time and it would start but couldn't choose the power level. DH came over and calmly told me I had to push the cook time button, then put in the time and then the power before pressing start. We have had this microwave for 10 years and I use it daily - how could I not remember how to set it? I really am losing it - mostly due to stress from work.
