Oncotype Testing for DCIS?

A funny thing happened to me at my post-op visit...

So background:  I had a lumpectomy last Wednesday.  I had DCIS.  The original biopsy ended up taking out almost everything and the lumpectomy found one duct with DCIS in it left (and got clear margins).  The total size (biopsy + lumpectomy) was probably 6 or 7 mm.  I was totally expecting that I'd have rads and then medication after this, and that very well could happen, but the surgeon brought up that she will be sending my biopsy cells for oncotype testing.

Have any of you had this test to determine if you should have radiation or not?  I'm very interested to know what you think.  I'm actually NOT afraid of radiation or trying to put it off; I hadn't even thought of not having it.  This new potential development is interesting and wanted to get your feedback.

Thanks very much, ladies!
