Dr. Nicholas Gonzales in NY
Hi, I was wondering if anyone has been on dr. Gonzales regimen and would like to share their experience? Of all the alternative teatments that i have researched this seems to be more attractive to me .

I have not been on it, but friends of friends have. It's definitely expensive and he puts you on lots of supplements and an anti-cancer diet that is formulated to your blood type and type of cancer, among other things. The two women that I heard of had success with him, but then I read a really damning article about his program when he participated in a research project with Columbia. However, I think the research project was with Stage IV pancreatic cancer, so that would appear to be a cancer that would be very hard to cure with anything, let alone alternatives.
Are you having surgery? Where are you in the process of diagnosis and treatment?

have read of him also and my Dr. in CT recommended that I consult with him as well as Keith Block in Chicago and Michael Schacter (New York), I had laser surgery with Vincentt Ansanelli, stage II, her/2 triple positve clear margins and no lymph involvement-highly recoomend the laser surgery-minimal discomfort and my breat looks great, I too am looking at alternative therapies

I've been following the work of Dr. Gonzalez ever since I read a New Yorker profile of him in 2001 (The Outlaw Doctor, by Michael Specter). Fast forward about 10 years, I'm diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. I did the conventional treatments - surgery, chemotherapy, endocrine therapy, declined radiation - but I've always said I'll see him if I develop metastatic disease. His website is very informative (it addresses the research project mentioned above). My takeaway is that his individualized treatments are very effective (e.g., metastatic cancer patients living 20 plus years after getting the stage 4 news), but they are hard work. You take lots of supplements - including pancreatic enzymes which are the cancer killers, eat a prescribed diet, and routinely detoxify your body through liver flushes and enemas. Now that I'm on the other side of treatment, I'm seeking to become a patient so I can prevent a recurrence. My first visit isn't scheduled until the summer, so I won't know anything until then. But feel free to email me if you have any questions: srlilly@hotmail.com.

Sweetbeans, I had surgery and I am now doing chemo. I have one more infusion to go. Then in June I will start radiation. I would like to see Dr. Gonzales after I am done with radiation because I belive that changes in diet and lifestyle have a large impact on health. I was curious if anyone knows anything more about his teatments, how much they cost, how intensive they are...etc

Have you googled him? His prices are on the internet - $4,000 for the initial evaluation, which is two appts. That price includes phone consulations, but not blood work. Supplements tend to run $800/month, but vary from patient to patient.

a six month evaluation is $850, regular office visits are $250.

srlilly, I saw your post in the breastcancer.org forum regarding someone who was
asking if anyone has any experience as a patient with Dr. Gonzalez.
you said your first visit was scheduled for the summer (2012). Can you tell me about your experience as we are trying to decide if we should go to him.And does anyone else have any experience with Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez (New York) to share, please. Thanks.

I have really appreciated the YouTube interviews with Gonzales, as well as the informative ones related to Gerson therapy. In reality, they are many similarities. There is also an informative site at www.chrisbeatcancer.com. I'm seeing a strong pattern in choosing nutrient-dense foods, detoxing, and making less stressful lifestyle changes. It seems the whole picture needs a strong shift, and once that happens many good steps follow. We will be moving this direction soon as I have a BC history, and recently my husband has had a melanoma removed. Clearly, we need to make some decisions regarding this. These sites I've mentioned have been so helpful and don't have a ton of hype. If you can dedicate an hour per day to gathering this kind of info, you'll notice the strong trending on those who have a remission story, and you will start to understand the concepts.
