Solving anxiety
Today's girls are constantly under pressure. They are attempting to keep their kids from killing themselves or one another; they are working full time and still trying to get dinner on the table; they are trying to find a while in there for a social life that is made up of more than a date to the supermarket with their husbands. Things left undone
It is an oft-lamented fact that there are only 24 hours in a day in which we can get things done. Like it or not, those are the hours we have to work with, and there's no use wishing for more. According to Robert Leahy, Ph.D., author of The Worry Cure, "Time pressure is almost always artificially created, and most people never notice the things that go undone." Do not stress about the unmade bed or the sink full of dishes. In ten years, those tiny specifics won't matter.
Doing your make-up
On the matter of your appearance, try taking the advice of Julien Farel, a New York City hairstylist, who suggests, "A shaggy style with a lot of layers, or any short haircut [like a bob with bangs] are the very best styles for a low-maintenance and flattering look." You can also simplify your make-up routine or think about who you will be seeing that day and if it's not a soul in particular, skip the make-up altogether.
Don't sweat the little stuff
Anxiety doesn't have to rule your life. You can take control of the reins and decide what you will allow to add pressure to your life. There are some things worth stressing about, but your appearance and getting every little chore done on time are not some of them.
