Need a little advice...have my 6 month onc visit in late May-- everything seems fine--had a mammogram in November, PCP and gyn visits, on lupron/femara.  Will be 3.5 years out in May.... Onc has agreed to annual MRI although she is not a fan- and in the beginning, I insisted on it-- and have had 3 clear MRI's to date.  I have one scheduled for May but am thinking I will pass and start to do it every other year---

Has anyone else done this?  What do you think?

I think you should do whatever makes you comfortable.

I agree with sandilee. There is no right or wrong. I have opted to go by symptoms and not by scans so my choice is to to go for a routine exam by my onc, the frequency of which he decides. Currently I am at 6-month intervals. The exam consists of a blood test, a brief interview and a cursory physical.

Each of us has a different comfort level. Do what makes you sleep better at night. I say cancer gave me a new Bill of Rights - one is the right to do as much scanning --or as little-- as I "please"!
