Post-menopausal lumps

So, here I am waiting to schedule a bilateral biopsy after seeing my BS today. She says the lumps in both breasts "could be something." Then I look up a few things and find a chart that shows 85% of lumps found in post-menopausal women are malignant. Damn. Don't like those odds at all.

    I have lumps in both breasts, but last weeks MRI showed no areas at all of rapid enhancement or washout, or any areas of suspicion. alot of lumps are just fibroglandular tissue; hope that's all yours are.

    I am 57 and have hyperplasia last year I had an diagnostic  mammogram  and a biopsy on both breast  I only felt a few lump my doctor said wait a year and see if there any changes  Monday I will have another dinostic it's been a year I feel there are changes my breast is sore and the lumps are bigger and on my left one my nipple are sunk in . hoping for the best but got a strange feeling

    nanapatricia - Those screenings can be terrible. We must be our own best advocates.. If your care is not what you feel it should be move on. I had three opinons. Be sure to ask about your breast density since it can impact the ability of the mammo to find things. Wishing you nothing but benign findings. Please let us know how everything goes.
