My doc want me to enter a trial for receiving herceptin for her2neu neg, my score is actually a +1 so he says I qualify. I can't find any info on this trial. I will get more info tomorrow but wanted to see if anybody else is on this trial.

I was told I would do 12 months of herceptin with 5 years of tamoxifen after having the double mastectomy this past November..prior to surgery I had twenty rounds of chemo.

I got off the tamoxifen about 4 weeks ago...And want to cut herceptin down too. I am just not feeling comfortable in my own skin anymore.

I am not on the trial - but I think its a great idea.  I read a study quite a while ago the showed in a post-hoc anaysis that women with Her2 1+ and Her2 2+ that had be classified as Her2- still recieved significant benefit (reduction in risk of recurrence) from Herceptin.

    Best of luck to you.

bak94- I am in the clinical trial and have my first infusion of Taxotere, Cytoxan and Herceptin next Tuesday, April 24th.  If you go to the Clinical Trials forum section and look for Herceptin B-47 clinical trial thread, there are a few on that thread.  Yesterday, my oncologist's research coordinator put my stats into the clinical trial data base so I could be randomized to see whether I would receive the Herceptin or not.  The oncologist and her research assistant are so excited that I am receiving the Herceptin since I am a +1 HER2.  You can PM me if you would like.
