Triple Negative with Met Brain Tumors Only?

A good friend in her early 40s was diagnosed 3 years ago with Triple Negative BC.  She had a double mastectomy, chemo and radiation.

A year later 2 mets were seen in her brain after she had a seizure.  They did whole brain radiation and that seemed to kill off one of the mets, but the other persisted and grew.  They did the surgical radiation and that seemed to work, but when her dose of steroids was lowered after the treatment she had seizures again.  A few months later they did surgery and removed what they thought was left of the tumor.  A MRI done this week showed what appeared to be some residual tumor around the edges of where the tumor was removed.

She has regular scans and no other mets have appeared in any part of her body so stopping the growth of this brain tumor is high priority.  Has anybody here been treated for just neurological mets with success?  Please post if you have any doctor recommendations on the east coast of the USA or any personal experience similar to this.  Thank you so much!
