Waht kind of follow up tests do you have after triple negative breast cancer all therapies finished and how often?

PET CT, CT.MRI,MAMMO ULTRASOUND,BLOOD TESTS,X-RAY,BONE SCANS, ETC).

If you have any lymph nodes affected did your oncologist increased the tests and their frequency?

Thank you

There have been quite a few threads on this, tassoule - you may want to do a search to read more. I my case, and I think most of the ladies here - mammos are done annually, sometimes breast MRIs, and no other scans unless there are symptoms. We're all followed by our oncs and BSs and sometimes rad oncs, so we get regular clinical exams every 3 or 4 months, tapering to 6 months...

I had a lymph node involved, but my onc doesn't do any special follow-up for that (though she made sure I got the heavy-duty chemo). It seems with TN, progression can happen even without node involvement anyway...

I was a year from diagnosis last month but my treatment was extended due to participation in a clinical trial. I am now on an every 3 month oncologist visit. He gave me the option of every four months, but I didn't want to go that long. My breast surgeon also follows me every three months, and I believe the radiation oncologist also has me on a three month schedule. I've tried to stagger them somewhat so I see someone almost once a month. My oncologist does tumor markers and bloodwork, but no scans other than annual mammo on the remaining breast. He is quick to do scans if I complain of pain, however.
