Would it be possible for the newest postings to be listed in the order in which they're received, and shown first on the page? That way when I click on BCO from my favorites list,I'd be able to read the new posts first.

I've found that I've missed a lot of new postings because threads from years ago are on the first page because there's a new comment.Sometimes the newest postings are on page 2 or 3.

Maybe the older posts could be under a new catagory "recent comments",or "new postings from previous posts".

Thanks,Cheryl

Cheryl, thanks for your suggestion! We can check with the developers if it's possible to have an option to display posts in a different order, considering both technical requirements and budgets.

    No! Don't do it! Please.....

This would ensure that I miss posts. I actually love how this forum works, popping you right to the first post you haven't read. If that doesn't happen for you, check that you are accepting cookies from this site.

    Thanks Mods.

    Susan,

How wound it ensure that you miss posts?

That's my point;I don't get new posts "popping" up first. Of the 30 listed on the first page, only 1 was from the 23rd (no posts yet from today). One goes back to 1/8/12 and one 7/25/11.

    It's not that I don't get them,they're scattered around.

Since I'm not computer savvy, how do I check the cookies?

    Thanks,Cheryl

Cheryl, your "Favorites" page should have the posts that have comments on them that you haven't read at the top. They will show "NEW" so you know there are posts you haven't read. The rest of them will stay in the order that you last viewed them in. So, to me, this forum already does the list exactly like you are asking. I'm with Susan, try re-loading or clearing some history or something to see if you have a firewall stopping the proper loading of your threads.

Aha! Just thought of something...once you read a "NEW" thread, the new logo will disappear, but the thread stays in the same position on your list. Then you go to the next "NEW" thread and read it. But, as you are reading, someone may post on a thread you've already read, thus giving it the "NEW" logo again! It will be in the position that you left it in,  but will have the logo on it. So, it's not that your threads are scattered, it's that they are so up-to-date that they are updating as you read them!! Sometimes it takes me an hour to read all my "NEW" threads as people keep adding to them.

The forum is actually MORE powerful than you realized!!

I prefer the site as designed, more changes would be like FB and omg the havoc there every time one logs in it is different.

I like to open one of my threads and end up at the last post I posted or read, then I have the choice to read from there or jump to the end and go backward, or both.

Please don't change this.  We don't needmore chaangeor stress LOL, really we don't.

    Cheryl,

Troubleshooting why your browser is loading the pages differently than mine might take some time. But, I suspect that doing this in the public forums would be tedious for others. PM me. Let me know what computer you have, operating system, browser, and I will do my best to help.
