What does "early-stage" breast cancer mean?

Breast cancer is categorized as Stage I, II (A or B), III (A, B, or C), or IV. The stage is based on the size of the tumor and whether the cancer has spread. Stages I, IIA, IIB, and IIIA are considered "early-stage" breast cancer and refer to cancers that may have spread to nearby lymph nodes but not to distant parts of the body.

This is from the womenshealth.gov website

The staging is mostly used for treatment decisions. I know it is hard, but try not to get too hung up on a stage. Everyone is so different, as are our cancers. How busy you must be with 4 daughters!!

    Best wishes to you.

    Thanks Jacee,

Most of the time I'm actually ok with all this, I just hear the word early stage breast cancer and didn't  know what exactly deemed early stage(Now I know!!). Well I better go and pick my nine and twelve yr old from the school bus.

Blessings and have a lovely Friday.....
