Garments, therapy, especially with a private pay non-hospital LE?

Also have you deducted transportation to medical appointments?

I would think you would be a deduct all of it, but I would check with an expert.

The key is documentation (receipts, prescriptions, etc) and the expenses have to be over 7% of one's income.  I have deducted all of the following:

transportation to medical appointments, pharmacies, garment pickup etc.  You need some proof that you did this (e.g., parking, train fare, copay recepit).  If you drive, there is a standard mileage allowance, that differs from year to year

noncustom and custom garments (with drs. prescription & receipts)

Here's a link to the IRS's pdf on medical deductions:

    http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p502.pdf

Bandages are specifically listed as covered, as is therapy provided as part of medical treatment, so this year, I am going to  deduct all bandaging supplies and massage from non OT/PT (LMT, LANA).   KS1
