Plastic Surgeons in Saskatchewan

Hi ladies!

I need some help/advice from those of you who have been there! Who do you recommend for a plastic surgeon to do my reconstruction? I live in Regina, but would be willing to travel to Saskatoon. Also, I am specifically wondering about plastic surgeons who will do an implant reconstruction with radiation. I hear so many varying stories on these message boards and I guess I want to get a snapshot of what things are like here in Saskatchewan.

If no plastic surgeons are willing to do implant reconstructions with radiation, is there a larger centre outside that province that will do it, such as Calgary or Edmonton? Would that still be covered by Saskatchewan health care?

Ok, so no responses on anyone in Saskatchewan. What about plastic surgeons in other parts of Canada that do implant reconstruction on radiated breasts? Help me out ladies! Thanks!

My reconstruction was done by Dr. Ledding in Regina.  I was not happy with the result so I had my reconstruction redone by Dr. Carolyn Duval in Saskatoon.  She is wonderful.  My reconstruction with her is much better.  There is a new plastic surgeon in Regina (I know this because he bought my house lol) but I can't remember his name.  He just finished some specialized training in Winnipeg so he may be another good surgeon.  Good Luck.

Hi Be_Positive.  I've been referred to a lady PS in Saskatoon, but haven't met her yet.  I'm wondering if it isn't Dr. Carolyn Duval (now that I've read this thread).  Anyway, my family Dr. who is fantastic, says she's excellent and has seen work she's done.  Hope this helps.
