First sandal day of the season!

Hi Yorkiemom!
Congrats on only one more rads treatment!
I'm loving this weather. It's 80 degrees here in Southern Virginia. I was walking the dogs in a tank top today!
I almost wore my sandals to run my errands this a.m., but my feet were so pale I didn't want to scare anyone.
Hope you're having a great day,
Bren

Hi Bren! It's a beautiful day here in Kansas City, also 80 degrees! Time to get out, enjoy the sun and soak up some Vit D!
-
Yorkie and Bin,you 2 are getting spoiled, send that warm weather back where it belongs..here in FL!!! LOL, but seriously yes,we all need some warm weather for Vit D and sun and fresh air as well as our puppies. My GS dog is 7 yr old but he will always be my puppy. Now that we are thinkg summer and vacays, can anyone recommend swimwear for TE life? I am getting my fills and will most likely be letting the cement set during the summer. I tried on my 2 piece, too fat for the bottom and the top has a string bra fit down the middle even tho its kind of made like a regular bra. The deep V is showing part of the train wreck on the bc side so I am gonna get something else to wear and maybe need a one piece cuz I havent been able to exercise much, just had surg 4 wk ago and havent felt like doing much but I am back to work sitting on my butt at the office 10 hrs a day and I got on the treadmill at gym a few times but after losing the weight due to nausea with the Arimidx its now all piling back on since I got used to the pill and I am getting fat!!Yikes!!

Congrats on being done with the zapping! I'm in sandals too today. Have not had my toes done yet, but I'll get to that. Doesn't really feel like Spring until I've had my first pedi.
I'm starting to notice my toe nails are doing the same thing as my finger nails. Darn Tamoxifen!

Layla, what's the temp in FL? Thought it NEVER got cold there! : ) Don't know about two piece swimsuits, I gave them up long before bc, lol. I wear one with a little skirt and built in bra. I know, I know.
1openheart, I got my first pedi last Saturday. Now I MUST show off this beautiful silver blue polish, even if the main people to see it will be the rad techs! Of course my hubby will, but he doesn't usually notice.

Yorkiemom .. I did my toes myself .. a very BRIGHT pink. I just wear a tanksuit for swimming.
1openheart .. What is happening to your nails?
Bren
-
Bren.... The tamoxifen is causing my nails to split and flake off in big sheets. I started taking 5000mg. of biotin about 3 weeks ago. I hear that it can take as long as 6 mos. to see any change. My toes are starting to get weak and flake too.
Sometimes I do my own toes too. They look like a 2 yr. old did them when I do! I am not very good at coloring within the lines!

Here in S.W. Florida it was 87 when I left lunch. We get to wear sandals 350 days a year!
-
Now, Denise, that's just MEAN!

I just assumed this mild winter was Gods gift to me since he knew I couldn't handle a harsh winter this year. I think summer is here in Va. its hot
-
Fredntan ... where are you in Virginia? I'm near Martinsville in the southwest area. Our winter this year was so mild .. only one day of snow!
1openheart .. I'm sorry to hear about your nails. The side effects I had from the Tamoxifen were so severe, I quit taking it ... that was four years ago. I'm nervous about not taking an antihormonal, but just couldn't cope with the Tamoxifen or Arimidex.
