Good for you, msphil!  I know you're a long time survivor, and I'd even venture to say that your regular exercise is a very important factor in your recurrence risk reduction!  In fact, there's a new study that shows that exercise actually changes our DNA!

I live in the California desert, and while we don't have humidity, we do have very excessive summer temps that can make my truncal LE flare if I'm not careful about how long I'm out in the heat.  What some people here and on our Motivation thread do is mall walk during the summer months.  In our area the biggest mall actually opens a bit early to accommodate walkers, and some people who work (including at least one gal on our Motivation thread) do it on their lunch breaks.

Keep up the good work, and feel free to join us on the Motivation thread anytime!  We can use all the extra motivation we can get!      Deanna

Great that you're keeping moving, msphil! I also exercise everyday and have been ramping it up in intensity through the years.

Thanks for the tip, Deanna! My gym has no airconditioning. Not that it's a bad gym but the Swiss are very energy-conscious and not too many places have airconditioning. But the mall is airconditioned. Yay! It's only spring but my hot flashes make it feel like peak of summer. It's either the mall or I bring something to cool my nape down when I get too hot at the gym.

Heidihill, have you seen those neck coolers?  You can get them here in sporting goods stores. They're scarfs with some sort of chemical beads (probably not very good for us!) in them that expand and stays cold when the scarf is put in cool water for a few minutes.  When you wear it, it's supposed to make you feel like it's 10 to 20 degrees cooler than it actually is.   If you can't find one wherever you are, let me know and I'll be glad to pick one up and send it to you.  Or you might find them on-line -- maybe even eBay?  I've used one walking outdoors, and it really helps.     Deanna
