This doesn't really fall under garments, but as someone who has truncal LE and is always looking for compression tanks and tops with straps that are set widely in the back, I have found a very interesting summer dress. Title Nine has one called the Bra Burner, and it fits me like a dream! I don't wear prosthetics and obviously look flat in this dress since the top is fitted, but I don't care. What is interesting about the dress is that it has an internal shelf bra that provides a little extra support, however, the elastic at the bottom is not tight, nor does it rub or scratch. The shelf bra is constructed with all the seams facing outward, so it feels soft and smooth against your skin. Ends just above the knee with a loose body that is forgiving on waist and hips. I got this dress just before my arm went on a rampage, so I tried on when I didn't have swelling in trunk either. Obviously, I can't wear this dress while I need my inserts or tank, but when my truncal LE is behaving and I want a summery dress that is casual, comfy, and covers more than shorts, this one is as good as it gets. It feels like I'm wearing a slightly supportive tank, but it's a dress! Liked it so much that I ordered another color, and I have another dress I'm trying. I quizzed them over the phone on the internal construction of that one and they were so helpful and nice. I ordered and will review fit once it arrives.

Tina, that is one cute dress!  Did you get it in that beautiful fuschia color?

Are you not afraid of bug bits?

    that could cause a flairup.

    Tina,

I'm totally flat and thin.  Does this dress have unfillable space that's going to pucker a little, or is it stretchyt enoug to lie flat on me?  I don't so much care about looking flat, just not untidy.  I like Title 9 a lot, and I hate going into stores.

Carol, I got the dark blue and I'm waiting for the fuschia!

grannydukes, I am so paranoid about bugs! I have bug repellent with me all the time and use during the hot months and in buggy areas. I cover up often, too. I have light sweaters, white shirts and light jackets. Last summer my husband and I went to a backyard picnic, and it was lovely, the weather, atmosphere, food and people. Unfortunately, I had to bail because there was an incredible amount of mosquitos and they wouldn't let up.

Outfield, I am flat and thin, a little concave on both sides. The shelf bra is minimal, lays flat with little gathering, and the trim fit of the top completely conceals it. The fabric has stretch to it so there is no puckering and looks very tidy. Based on the size chart and my unfamiliarity with their clothing, I ordered an x-small and a small. I normally wear a small or size 4, and the small is what fit.

Never heard of TitleNine, but I like shopping mail order and this looks like a really nice dress.

Some of the other dresses are described as having a "built in" bra.  I wonder if this is the same as a shelf bra.  Has anyone tried any TitleNine's "built in" bra dresses? KS1

Here's an update on my experiment with TitleNine dresses. I liked the BraBurner dress so much that I ordered the other colors. The old slate color is not a light blue, rather a dusky green, which is really pretty. The fuschia is pretty, too. However, I like the fit of the second dress I ordered even more, so back they are going. I still love the dark blue BraBurner dress and keeping that. The other dress I ordered, the De-Stress dress, fits really well, too. The inner shelf bra is not bunchy, nor is there extra fabric. Again, the seams on the shelf bra are facing outward. The fabric of this dress is thicker than the BraBurner dress and has a more stretchy athetic wear kind of feel. It actually fits and feels like a compression tank with a flared skirt. I got the black and just ordered the deep blush as an exchange for the other dresses. Unfortunately, my size is on back order until April 10. I sure wish they had a store nearby so I could try on, but apparently there is no charge for shipping if you are exchanging. Here's the De-Stress dress I ordered:

That looks cute, but not suitable for us old ladies ;)

Momine, is it because it's sleeveless? I am totally flat, so bra support is irrelevant, and the length is just above my knees. My arms certainly aren't what they used to be, but that's what light sweaters and jackets are for! :-) I am hoping my return to exercising will help with my confidence to wear this dress! I deserve to wear it even though my body is no longer fit as a fiddle. I can rock it, just you watch! ;-)

Tina, for me it's the stomach a bit but mostly the tush. LOTS of it.

The arms are the least of my problems! (well, yeah, except for the LE...)

So I'm looking forward to a picture of you in it, but there won't be one of me!

    Leah
