Kicking LE's butt!! Exercise & Self Care Log

glennie.... Thanks for checking in and sharing normal life stuff. It's comforting to know that's ahead!
-
glennie - we are enjoying a healthy real estate market in Florida now! Feels good.
-
It's crazy up here, Homemom. All the other houses that I looked at before deciding on this one,, are also under contract. People are buying!
-
Glennie. Buying a house can make anyone AWOL but we are sure glad you checked in as you are always so encouraging. Please be careful moving boxes and heavy stuff. Give that job to a more capable person so you don't flare le. It's hard to remember to be careful when we get so involved in our lives. Let us know how it goes!
Off to gym this afternoon.
-
I will have movers!! I'll pack boxes,, but I wont carry them. Thanks Hugz,, will keep y'all posted.
-
Glennie - good for you. The hardest thing for me is to stop doing all those things that come naturally - like moving & stacking boxes. Be vigilant. Sounds like you were really lucky to find a new house an a buyer for your existing one all at the same time. I'm still in my house but would really like to be in a condo eventually. The yard it just too much anymore.
-
The back yard has pretty much gone back to nature. It is pine trees,,, and thus lots of pine needles on the ground. No grass to mow! It will be great for the dog to run around. The front doesn't have much grass either, and I'll eventually landscape with native plants, so the care will be minimal.
I'm going to TRY not to move boxes,,, LOL,,, really really try!!! It is hard to not do things,, only it's just one box,,, then it becomes 20.
-
Yup - sort of like I was only going to cut down one bush with the electric hedge trimmers. An hour later of constant vibration - LE Flare. Good luck remembering not to move the boxes
-
Just hoping to pace myself,,, pack smaller, lighter boxes? Wear sleeve. I did a really good book purge.
-
When we move, hopefully it will be the forever home. Need to downsize with the kids almost gone. Homes in my neighborhood don't last 3 weeks on the market.
-
Car broke down and so had to walk ninety minutes to home. If it wasn't for exercise I would have NEVER been able to even consider this feat.
Thanks to le it hassucked all my funds out of me so I get no fancy new car!
So that's my exercise.
-
Well, hugz, that just rots! Did you get the car towed? Will you have transportation tomorrow? Aaaugh! But you get the prize for making lemonade out of lemons, for sure!
Eat chocolate, and keep us posted!
Binney -
Binney. I drove it straight to mechanic. Yes lemons to lemonade. Thank goodness I was born on sunny side of life! Car ready tomorrow! Must empty pockets now! Moving forward!
-
hugz - ninety, as in (90), as in an hour and a half? WOW. I am really impressed. Yes, you are definitely due some heavy duty chocolate. Glad the car can be fixed so quickly.
-
Holy smokes! That was a walk!! **offers chocolate**
-
Yes me did it! Just finished two miles. I have to get my winter fat off especially since I'm going to a wedding early May! Must duct tape mouth shut in order to stop eating!
You all are so encouraging
-
hugz - i've seen some really pretty colors & patterns of duct tape now - LOL
Says me who had green chili enchiladas & beans & a margarita and a TON of chips for lunch.
-
Minus. Lol. Well who wouldn't eat a ton of Mexican. Me first...move over!
Oh well I kicked le right back into a manageable corner today at the gym.
-
I didn't make the gym today, but I did pretty heavy duty work in the yard from 7:15am until 1:15pm. I sure think that should count. I think the LE is quiet, but my back is a bit stiff. Two aspirin for me tonight.
-
minus. Yes yard work uses all muscles. It's even better than going to the gym and you get fresh air to! Great for brain
-
Half hour mini tramp. Done exercise for day. Well I have to stretch but that's an all day affair to loosen up my ever seized muscles. They just tighten up after 15 min. Ugh...sigh...,
-
I posted this under ' my' all things gloves and sleeves forum, but thought it so important, I would ' double post' here. Feel free to PM your ' lymphediva friends' !
Josh Levin reached out to me just as soon as I posted about the loss of my husband as well as the bilateral LE.
He gave me the site
http://rememberbetty.com/grant-application/
All I did was EMAIL the person and got a very generous Gift Cert. for use at lymphevias.com
Josh was very approving of me posting this.
Hope it helps!
Laurie -

-

-
tso. Great you encourage me. If you have swelling you will want to do the tai chi exercises I posted. Before and after exercise would be helpful. Super easy to follow the photo instructions I posted. Takes less than a couple minutes each time. Gets fluid moving
-
Hey everyone, if you had Genisus stout beer today you'll all have to work it off! Lol
I opted for a too huge chicken ceasar salad and cake, oops! So I tried to work extra hard at the gym. Have to coast on the food train for the rest of the evening. Water water water! Dang dang dang
