Anyone had a similar experience?

Hi,  I'm really hoping someone can help me make sense of this.  I found a lump in the outer quad of my left breast about two months ago.  Nothing showed on mammo or us.  MRI preliminary findings said there is a palpable area of nodularity that is 5mm in size.  It showed enhancement with contrast.  Pathologist says "Since it is in the superficial dermal area a "dermal inclusive cyst (sebaceous) is favored."  General surgeon and PA said a subaceous cyst is not cohesive with what they feel.  I do not have any type of skin lesion, no redness, no swelling, and the lump is deep within the tissue.  I have read that a sebaceous cyst in the breast is rare, but that IDC can masqurade as a sebaceous cyst.  General surgeon just recommended that I come back in a year for a mammo. I'm not at all comfortable with that. Has anyone had anything similar to this?

Hi--Well all I cn say is my sisier had several cysts over the years. but they always took it out to make sure-so maybe u should tell u Dr. u have a big concern over this and u'd like it removed or see another Dr. I would.Good Luck.

CC208, I would ask to have it removed and shecked just to be sure. A year of worry isn't worth it.

We have a beautiful new "Breast Center" where I live, but no breast specialists or radioloigists who are specialists in breast imaging only.  I am going to the breast specialist about an hour away and get a second opinion. I really want this out.  I appreciate the replies and feel better about looking into this further.

After a little more research I found out that there have been fewer than 40 cases reported of epidermal inclusion cysts in the breast. Hoping to get some answers this week.
