My Crocuses are Blooming!
So, this may be not the place to share but I don't really care. In 2010 we bought a house and then my son was born so we really didn't get a whole lot done. So in 2011, in the spring I ordered a bunch of fall bulbs that came at the beginning of October. The weekend before my US/Mammogram and subsequent DX my hubby and 1 year old helped me plant a whole bunch of bulbs in front of our house. I have been watching the shoots come up for weeks now, every time thinking about that last "normal" weekend. Though I guess it wasn't really normal because I had all these HUGE nesting instincts to get stuff done. Anyway, when I went out to get the mail today the crocuses had bloomed. It just makes me so happy to see them come up. And know that as I continue on through this crappy FAC, I will get to watch all the other pastel tulips and daffodils come up. I know this is sentimental, but its our first house and my first and now only baby. It was just such a happy thing to see today. Thanks for listening

I LOVE when my tulips and crocus bloom so I loved reading your post. We are getting a foot of snow today so I won't see flowers until May. My joy today has been watching my little ones play outside with their dad. My 20 months old looks like the michellin man with his snowsuit and boots on. Every other step he falls, has to roll to his belly, in order to stand up again. Hilarious to watch. But he keeps on getting up. That's what we keep doing on this crappy BC ride right???

I saw 6 robins on Wednesday, hopping around between the rain drops. Spring is on its way.

Your post is completely appropriate for here, and seeing your bulbs coming up is very significant! I am glad you shared!!!!

No pictures today, we are right in the pathway of that big tornado storm
BOO! (not that my pictures are much to see, we haven't mulched or anything yet) But the storm is terrifying.

I love my chemo bulbs. I planted them in the fall when I still had some energy. I knew that they would come up and let me know that chemo was almost done. They give me a reminder each time I see them come up that things will get better.
