Post-op Mammogram before Rads?

I finished neo-adjuvant chemo in December, and lumpectomy was done on February 7.  I had my consult with the RO last week, who ordered a mammo prior to starting rads.  She told me this is to ensure that no calcifications remain after surgery.  Is this routinely done?  I dread the thought of having a mammo, as my breast is still quite swollen and tender even 3 weeks after surgery - I don't think it will be in "smashing" condition by next week....
