"casting-type" calcifications

On December 14th, I finished rads for treatment of DCIS in the left  breast. I just had my first followup mammo on Friday and the radiologist told me she's pretty convinced that I have a new primary site on the right breast. It is described in the mammo report as "casting-type" calcifications which are branching.  Everything I have read about this type of calcification is scary. It is a sign of agressive tumor behavior.  Has anyone had this type of calcification and if so, what type of BC was it? She also indicated this may be invasive this time. My first BC was hormone driven and I just started tamoxifen on Feb  1.

    Hi rn4babies

I have just read your post. I do not have the answers but I am concerned that you haven't had a response yet. So I thought I would 'bump' this up again.

Hope everthing is O.K. with you and some of these issues are now resolved!
