Wow, I knew microwave popcorn wasn't good for you but I didn't know it was THAT bad.  I will be throwing out the bags we have left and buying the organic kernals.  Thanks for posting this.

So sad about this because i love my microwaved popcorn. I have been hearing things lately but first time i read anything about it. I finished my last bag 2 nights ago and was going to get more,(not now) I will be popping my own for now on. It says it could cause lung cancer, and i have been eating it for years, and i did get lung cancer... Hmmm. Scarry!

    Thanks Mods!

it pops pretty well in paper bags, but i like glass containers with glass lids.. opened just a bit.. the steam building up can make some of the kernels moist.. i just put a chop stick in sticking out the side.  .  It's really nice to have the bowl (like pyrex) ready to go and easy to experiment with garlic olive oil and parmesan, curried spice blends,  or butter (horrors) and salt.. not too much butter.  I like olive oil and do not believe butter will kill me at this point.   i love popcorn.. my kids make it in a big pot on the stove which i end up cleaning up.. don't like that.. i know, i could yell at them.

I haven't had the packaged microwaved popcorn for years.  mr. apple pointed out it was like 10 dollars a pound that way and unhealthy.
