MIL Stage III, metastasised brain cancer, now kidney blockages

My Mother Inn Law was diagnosed with an aggressive Stage 3 breast cancer last summer.  Surgery, and chemo went fine.  She started radiation the last week of December and had one week of treatment left when all heck breaks loose.  Lesions on her brain, so they radiate that as well.  She is to be done with that on Monday, Then today we find out she has a kidney blockage and needs a stent.  We live in a different state than her and the lack of communication is overwhelming for my husband and I.  We don't know exactly what is going on, but she says everything is minor.  I think she is holding back, but that is her choice.  We respect that.  But should we be more concerned.  What can we do to help her.  I lost my sister to caner as well as an aunt.  I can't help but feel anxious.

I'm sorry to hear about your MIL. My mom has brain mets as well and finished WBR in November. The WBR worked well for her but the SE were very rough on her. I hope your MIL has a good result from her treatments.

Ugh, still waiting for results. Pet scan postponed due to kidney issues.  Fluid build up relieved now stints in both kidneys. Waiting to hear what the blockages are, but the surgeon won't tell us until he talks to the oncologist.  Something new crops up every two weeks.  I'm wondering how much more she can handle.
