Has anyone with HER2+ used alternative treatments as opposed to Herceptin?  Or is Herceptin the drug of choice?

    barbiecorn:  Herceptin is the drug of choice, along with chemo, for HER2+ bc.  I'm sure that there are those who are doing cam/alt treatements along with the Herceptin, but doing alternate treatments alone without Herceptin is taking a risk since it is an aggressive invasive cancer.  Watch the movie "Living Proof" about the doctor who developed Herceptin.  It is not a chemo drug and doesn't have the SE's that chemo does.  There are some trials using Herceptin alone and I know of one person who was able to get it without chemo.  This doctor is a hero...many lives have been saved since the drug was cleared for use in treating HER2+ bc.
