Supraclavicular nodes?

Hi gals,

I'm feeling a sore spot right above my right clavicle bone near the shoulder. It's tender to the touch but doesn't hurt otherwise. I've recently increased my weight lifting exercises so I'm
hoping it's a sore muscle or something. I don't feel a hard lump, but today I'm feeling what appears to be soft tissue of some kind or a pocket of fluid. I did have the area radiated to the max. I'm afraid it may be a recurrence to the supraclavicular node.  Or could it be lymphedema? Can a supraclavicular node be enlarged because of lymphedema?

Has anyone experienced something like this before? I'm coming up on my 3-year anniversary from diagnosis on the 18th so I'm a little more anxious/stressed than normal.  All the memories are coming back to me and the fear is so vivid.

Thanks in advance for any comments you may provide!

Thanks!

It could be anything, nodes swell for many reasons. Maybe it isn't even a node but fluid like you said. Anniversaries are tough. You could do the 2 week rule, wait and see if it gets better, if not get it checked out. Try not to touch it all the time, that could aggravate it. :)

It could be a strained muscle.   I had a sore spot above the clavicle and a sore spot on the ribs that I asked my MO about on my last visit.  Both were muscular and nothing to do with cancer. I was quite relieved.

With your increased work outs it could be something similar,

    Good luck.

my supraclavicular nodes are hard, defintely palpable (and cancerous) - i'm thinking maybe fluid for you.

one can drain the lymphatic system in your neck.. gently start at the bottom and work upward... pump and stroke ( Undecided )

read all about it on the net or the lymphatic forum.

    good luck

My neck nodes are at the other end of my clavicle. I'm thinking lymphedema. But of course, make an appointment with the doctor to rule the C out. They could also give you a script for PT to learn how to get the lymph fluid out of that area.
