What does aport infection look like?

so this post may have too much info but i dont care. I have an infection and the doctors dont know what. I am in the hospital supposed to travel to start the next round of chemo at mda so im desparate.



Tues i was fine. At 830 i got a little dizy. By 10 i was on the toilet with bucket in front of me with both ends at full blast. by 11 we contacted the on call onc. He said to go to er for fluids. Get to er at 1230. It took me forever to get off the toilet and i had to line my panties with one of my sons diapers.



At first they say its viral andput me on fluids. Then they say its a uti and put me on antibioics. Yesterday i got everything from pneumonia to viral theory. I have all the blood and urine work in the works. everyhing is normal but the blood culture is still tbd.



The big issue is this rogue fever of unknown origins which comes and goes. So im wondering what this could be or what questions to ask. now i think they yhink its a port infection. Im on some uber strong antibiotics but i still get this fever.



I pretty much sailed through weekly taxol and the onc does not think this is related.... I dont rlly have much nausea anymore but i do still have the runs. Booo.
