radiation.... during and after

I had 6 weeksnof radiation to my left chest wall, Has anyone else gotten horrible burning in their throat and esophagus. reflux and the like. headaches and memory problems,, the doctors told me none of this was related to rad therapy, i have been done for a month now and still feeling the affects.

    Yes, your throat can get zapped by "radiation scatter."  Rarely will the RO's admit this to you, but it's happened to lots of women here.  The worse the burn, the longer it will stay with you.  I got a burn in the lower esophagus mid-rads treatment.  They told me it was not from rads.  (Funny, the last time I had reflux was 20 years before when pregnant!)  They also told me to turn my head ALL the way to the side.  That helped.  I only had the burning for a week.
