I feel this is the right decision for me, But I've decided to travel to a larger hospital complex for my radiation. Just had my first consult at Johns Hopkins with a RO who specializes in breast. Its 2 hrs from my home, but there is the hope lodge and other options for me to stay in for free. I can go home on the weekends and my DH is actually working up near there on project.

I'm not going to go to my local RO consult. I feel so let down my my local docs for sitting on my cancer for 2years when they could have put a needle in it. It is hard for me to get over this anger I feel now about this. I've decided I need the best now. The radiation my very well be the same. But its only 5 weeks of my life. I would rather my doctor have gone to Harvard and specializing in breast rads and doing research.

I loved the team they had up there. I'm scared to go on to the final or next step. thrilled to be almost done with chemo. but still angry that my docs let me down. I havn't told any of my
"friends" or work people yet. I'm due to get back on the work schedule in march.

fredntan, For what it is worth, I think you should go to Johns Hopkins no matter what you have to rearrange in your life.  In my life, whenever I failed to follow my instincts, I regretted it. What a nightmare that your local doctors missed your cancer for so long.  Good luck with your rads treatments.
