Should I choose more cardio over a curves workout?

Hi.  I am a part time single mom to a 2.5 year old, my hubby works up North for 2 weeks at a time.  I have put her in part time daycare, which helps me out alot, it keeps me sane.  I have joined curves, but I would prefer to walk outside.  My nutritionist told me I should opt for more cardio...90 minutes a day.  I had chemo, radiation, herceptin.  I currently take Effexor and Tamoxifen.  My metabolism is totally messed up.  I get frustrated being at home all the time, and it's so easy to grab a handful of nuts, or whatever.  I know I put my body through alot, and that I have to patient and not so hard on myself, but it's really hard.  Has my metabolism aged?  I'm 36, but wonder if my metabolism age is 56?  I'm sorry, I'm starting to ramble, it's just that when I try to talk to my besties, who don't know what it's like to have cancer, they tell me that I'm here, and they love me and that I need to be easier on myself, and why can't I just love myself....you get the idea, right?  So back to my question, when I get time to myself, because my lovely daughter is in daycare, should I focus more on trying to get more cardio (hiking the trails) or go to curves, or try to squeeze in both?  I have an eliptical machine too, but it's B O R I N G!!!!

Thx!!!
