I started to have knee pain with tamox in October. Since then I tried to figure out how to "heal" it naturally, since I don't want to take painkillers, not to burden my liver. I took Diclofenac couple of times though, but it only helped for a day, so it wasn't the solution for me. After a lot of research I have come up with the following, and so glad it has helped with my knee/ joint pain a lot. About 90% of the pain is gone. I know, some ladies suffer from the same and thought to share it.

 In the morning - fresh cabbage/ beetroot/ apple/ carrot / pumpkin juice .

During the afternoon I just chew two tea spoons of flax and sesame seeds.

With dinner- cal D3.

My supper is 4 cloves of  freshly grated garlic with olive oil on a rye bread, followed by couple of glasses of tea with fresh ginger, lemon, cardamom, star anise, cinnamon and cloves.

And finally, before bedtime I gulp down 2 teaspoons of ground turmeric mixed with black pepper and olive oil.

I am not sure which of these contributed more, but they work fine for me and I am going to stick to it for a long while. I have more energy and better mood. Hope this helps.

Everyone have a nice day !!!!!

Hi Karina,  I just went thru this with my left knee pain, that ended up with arthriscopic surgery. I'm glad this special diet is working for you.  Is this the only thing you are eating or are there things you've eliminated in your diet?

Karina,  I will definitely put those items on my list.  I am also sticking to a healthy diet.  I cut out all sugar since BC, still have an occasional glass of wine, rarely eat meat, but love seafood, fruit, veggies and lots of water.  Now I just have to get thru PT and start the brisk walking .Smile

I have been taking Tamoxifen for 7 weeks and I have knee pain since yesterday. I need to lose the 30 pounds that I gain during chemo, so exercising is a must for me. I can't have flax seed and turmeric makes me sick. Since when did you begin this diet?

Ralston, I know the diet doesn't sound too " tasty", sometimes I get annoyed with it too, then I take a day break from it or miss one or the other and then start again. I have been on the diet for a month, though been taking turmeric for a few months now.  I don't know, what helps me more. I started taking most of the ingredients  for their anti - inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties, then one day realized my knees are so much better. If you get sick from the turmeric, try it with honey or yogurt. Why can't you have flaxseed?? Is it because you are ER+ ? You can take couple of teaspoons of the sesame only, which is very high in calcium. Good luck.

Where I live they have the EBEVE brand, and another one ( can't remember the name ) of a UK manufacturer. Tried them both, but EBEVE seems milder on me. Have you heard of this brand.
