IBC after IDC?

Hi All,

I was curious to hear from ladies that have been diagnosed with IBC after having IDC.

It has been 2 ½ years since my dx of IDC. After chemo, surgery then rads I am clear!  As a result, I have lymphedema but is totally manageable.  The reason for my curiosity is that a few weeks ago I noticed a small red mark on my left breast with a dark center...as though I was poked with a pencil.  It is now the size of a nickel and I have noticed that my breast is puffy.  Not signficiantly swollen, but puffy.  My breast shrank considerably after rads and I have a nice 3 inch divot where my lumpectomy scar is...I know my breast is puffy ‘cause the "divot" is now almost flush with the rest of my skin.  It is difficult to changes since rads caused my girl to be a little darker and, of course, the whole geography of my breast has changed.  Also, the left side of my breast is very tender.  All this made me nervous so I have an appt tomorrow with a breast surgeon.  I am very anxious.  I have a feeling/intuition that something isn't right.

Dear Dottie, sorry you are having this scare.  Perhaps it is a bit of a lymphedema flare-up in the breast?  Perhaps you got bit by a spider or some type of insect?  I hope you get reassuring news soon....

Your post was removed before I read it but ..... IBC after IDC (and DCIS) is what happened to me.
