Hi all...this question may sound silly but I can't seem to figure this out. My grade of DCIS was 2, cribiform, but with necrosis focally present. I have read that the presence of necrosis increases the grade, but is it better or worse or neither that it is focally present? I was just to see my surgeon for my 1st 6 month check up and when I asked when I would see him again, and have my next mammo, he said in a year. I am concerned about that, because I've heard of so many going back for a diagnostic for the affected breast every 6 mos , and then both once yearly.
