2 Year Cancerversary!
Hi everybody,
I haven't posted in a long time, but I do log on when I can to see how ev.eryone is doing. Today is my 2 year anniversary from my diagnosis, and I have mixed feeling over it. On one hand, I am grateful to be feeling healthy and strong. On the other, I have been feeling anxious and sad all week leading up to today... I just think there are so many reminders of that day two years ago.
I just want to thank all of my sisters (and a few brothers!) on this board who have given me hope and strength, God bless you all!
One love, Jackie

SOOOOO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!! It's such a weird thing and I totally understand the anxiety. I hope you are able to do something wonderful that has nothing to do with the memory of 2 years ago

Congrats Jackie, and I get what you mean about feeling weird about it. It's good that you're where you are today, but not a day that has good memories with it. But we LOVE hearing about another year behind the belt! Here's to MANY more!

Congrats! Yesterday was my four year anniversary since mastectomy and today is my 16 year work anniversary. I have been using these excuses all weekend to eat bad and have a drink. I hope you have many more years to come.

Congratulations Jackie! It's hard to stay happy and strong all the time, "doom's day" is especially hard...hope you feel better soon & have many more years.

Jackie,
Although I have not gotten to this point yet, I am told that time helps with the "rawness" of those reminders... We've been through a trauma...
In the meantime, I am grateful for those times when I forget about BC and experience some normalcy!
Congratulations!
xoxo,

Congrats Jackie!

Congrats!!! I am coming up on a year but I have heard that it gets better as time goes by. You are almost over the hump or bell curve as my doc calls it. Enjoy your health!! Go out and buy yourself something that you don't need but really want, or take a day to yourself, go to a spa...read a good book. Treat yourself, you've been to hell and back and have come out stronger for it!! :
-
Congratulations!! Truely wonderful news!!
-
Congrats! I know that I still wasn't where I wanted to be at 2 years but it still feels good to get that under your belt and look forward to each year being better than the last.

Jackie,
Congratulations! I hope to be there in a couple of years as well. I can imagine the anxiety, I believe there are some days and memories indelibaly etched in our psyche. I think the day we received the dx will always be one for all of us. Honor the day in the way you need to.
Be well . You give me hope
