Would scans show skin cancers?

My scans were negative in October, but I am concerned about a spot on my face and a spot on the skin of my exterior vaginal area.  My doctor thinks the spot on my face is minor precancerous and I'm going to the dermatologist on Monday.  She thinks the gyn might want to biopsy the spot "down below" and I had to be very pushy to get an appt. with the gyno this week, since most are booked until March!

Do cancers on skin show up on scans?  

Of course I'm concerned that EVERYTHING is cancer, so I'll probably be at the doctor every month!

I am not sure, but you may need to ask them to do a scan of the soft tissues which may include skin. If not, best to go to a dermatologist.
