Lumpectomy on Feb 1st - Looking for a "Cancer Buddy"

Shayne...hope your LX was successful....I had double one that day too...hate that I have to wait until the holiday is over to find out results.  Already had one lumpectomy 4/6 followed up with MRI followed up with 2 days of MRI assisted biopsies...all showing slighly suspicious areas...followed up by double lumpectomies yesterday (preceded by the wonderful mammogram where they put in the guide needles!!)  Anyway for all that has happened I am doing pretty good...just hoping that yesterday's results come back with clean edges so I can get on with the next step!  Anyone else at the same stage?  Would love to connect with other folks going through the same thing. 

If all well, looks like my radiation will begin end of June which in some ways is better as I really want to go to my niece's college graduation in Chicago June 9th...her mom, my sister is in hospice (apendicidal cancer) and her dream is to make it to her daughter's graduation...whole family will be there, so I am really hoping no complications from yesterday's surgeries so I can be there too...and then the following weekend I am off to Niagara Falls to watch Nik Wallenda tightrope across the falls (televised on ABC at 9pm June 15th)...he is friend of my brother, and I have never been to the falls...so I decided to take a roadtrip...just a few good things to look forward to before starting radiation!!

LX went as well as can be expected.  Had it at a breast center outpatient clinic that was like a spa!  it was incredible.  Smooth sailing.  Today just laying low - felt a little hung over, the anesthesia still in my head.  Just drinking lots of water today. 

My path report due back thursday at the latest, maybe wednesday.  IF all that is as expected with no surprises, then internal rads june 11th.  Cant wait for it to all be over.......

meeting with naturopath this wednesday to discuss new diet plan, supplements....and whatever else I will need to prevent recurrence.  Im busy!
