Hi ladies - had lumpectomy and SNB 19 months ago.  I had an ultrasound today and the tech told me that there was a change on the scan from five months ago.  She said it looks like possibly a new fluid collection.  Anyone have a similar experience or any ideas?  Thanks so much.

    Hi spendygirl,

I had the same type of surgery 13 months ago. Within the next few months I had a lot of fluid drained from my breast, not only as part of the surgical follow up, but also when I had a post-surgery biopsy, then again after I got an infection from that biopsy.

The good thing was that my breast had finally gone back to its "original" size ... it had gotten bigger before I was diagnosed with cancer (no one has told me if that was connected to the cancer). However, now my breast seems to be increasing in size again so I'm wondering if there is fluid in it again and, if so, why.

Have you found out anything since you first posted? Thanks.
